Windlehurst Road, High Lane: Carriageway Repairs and Removal of Speed Cushions

Windlehurst Road, High Lane: Carriageway Repairs and Removal of Speed Cushions
Stockport Council is carrying out a programme of planned repairs across the borough. As part of the programme, we will be repairing a section of the carriageway on Windlehurst Road from Andrew Lane to Torkington Lane. This work will be carried out by our Framework Partner Tarmac Ltd.
The scheduled start date is Monday 30th October 2023 and is expected to take up to a week to complete. Working times will be between 8:30am and 4:30pm, weather permitting.
Unfortunately, to carry out this work it will be necessary to manage traffic flows on Windlehurst Road by utilising temporary two way traffic lights, this is to minimise disruption and allow safe working operations to take place.
Information boards and signs will be erected on site and at other key points in the surrounding area advising road users of the planned work. Access to properties in the working area will be maintained where possible, however it may be restricted for certain periods as the work progresses.
